Application Guide

Follow this guide to achieve a flawless Bastion coating application every time.

What You'll Need

• Bastion Ceramic or Graphene Coating
• Applicator block and suede cloth (included in kit)
• Clean microfibre towels (high GSM recommended)
• IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) panel wipe
• Well-lit, dust-free environment

Step-by-Step

1. Wash — Two-bucket wash method. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
2. Decontaminate — Clay bar the entire surface to remove bonded contamination.
3. Polish — Machine or hand polish to remove swirl marks and scratches.
4. IPA Wipe — Panel wipe with IPA to remove polish oils. This is critical for bonding.
5. Apply — Apply 2–3 drops to the suede cloth. Work in 40x40cm sections using crosshatch strokes.
6. Flash & Level — Wait for the coating to flash (30–60 seconds depending on temperature). Buff off with a clean microfibre.
7. Cure — Keep dry for 24 hours. Full cure is achieved at 7 days.

Pro Tips

• Work in shade or indoors. Direct sunlight accelerates flashing time.
• Ideal application temperature: 15–25°C.
• Apply a second coat after 1 hour for enhanced depth and protection.
